Report of multiple car burglaries in Round Rock neighborhood results in arrest this morning

On Wednesday morning, the Round Rock Police Department received multiple reports of car burglaries occurring overnight in the Egger Acres neighborhood.

At approximately 8 a.m. in the 1900-block of Sunrise Road, Officers approached an individual matching the suspect description from home surveillance footage.

Ervin McCarty, 22, of Round Rock, was arrested for multiple charges, including unlawful carry of a firearm by a felon, assault on a peace officer, and multiple warrants with Pflugerville Police.
